This season’s winter menu of fine Italian dishes is all set and ready, waiting for the first connoisseurs at the La Terrazza di Serdica new Italian Restaurant in Sofia to try it out.
The winter menu prepared by Chef Iginio Cortello features a perfect selection of authentic, traditional and homemade Italian recipes typical for the winter season across the country and served in the company of an exquisite selection of Italian Red and White wines. True to his home region of Friuli-Venezia Guilia, Chef Cortello has added in a special touch of local accents and two of his favourite winter products - artichoke and radicchio.
The new winter selection is highlighted by the Eggplant Parmigiana, Roasted quail stuffed with sausage on soft polenta, Fresh artichoke, prosciutto, rucola and parmesan salad and the flavourful Radicchio and red wine risotto with creamy cheese. For fresh pasta lovers, Chef Cortello has prepared a fantastic sapid series of homemade offerings including Spaghetti with Italian sausage, mushrooms, saffron and parmesan, Paccheri with cherry tomatoes, basil and creamy burrata, Rigatoni “alla Carbonara” with guanciale, egg yolk, parmesan and black pepper. And to make a perfect winter taste from the Italian Northeast comes the Guanciale-wrapped pork tenderloin in mushroom sauce served with creamy polenta.
